Report on the guest Lecture by Dr. Motiwala
As per the MCA curriculum, NCRD’s SIMS had arranged a guest lecture on 22nd March 2011 at 11 am. Dr. R. K. Shrivastav Director General, SIMS nitiated it by inviting Dr. Motiwala form University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA. The meeting started with a warm welcome to Dr Motiwala as he was felicitated by Director, SIMS Mr. Anjan Kumar Maiti. Dr. Motiwala was requested to speak on the emerging trends in IT education. He introduced us to a new technique which is being widely used in healthcare. Data Masking, a new concept explained by Mr. Motiwala was of great importance to the Data Mining students.

This guest lecture was a huge opportunity for our MCA and MMS IT Students as it provided exposure to some upcoming technologies in the IT world. Dr. Motiwala extended a warm welcome to our students by inviting them to be a part of their institute by applying there for a 20 days program. This program would focus on emerging technologies like Nanotechnology and Project Management. He also offered students scholarship on merit basis.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks. The students were grateful for granting them good opportunities. We look forward to conduct many more programs that would be beneficial for their future. |
